Crazy busy day, each one seems to roll into the next. Weekends never have enough time off, weekdays never seem to end, or begin for that matter. Sometimes I just want a day away from life, someplace nice; like a warm sandy beach, and a drink with a little straw hat in it, but alas, some have to keep on doing what they do to provide for those they love the most.
I know that some days I don't seem to show it to my girls how much they mean to me, but inside, they are the driving force that pushes me beyond all my pains, all my doubts, all my troubles. They are the ones that show me what life is really about, and what simple joys there are in discovering a simple trinket, or finding the strangest thing to be the most wonderful thing in the world, allowing for an uncontrollable laugh to trickle out, causing a cascading event to affect those around. It's the small stuff in life that we cherish, and if we don't take a moment to stop and take a look around, it'll pass us all by...

I GO POTTY!!!
Big strides in the way of development these last few weeks. Caitlin turned 3 (Can't believe it's been 3 years already!! [And people though I wouldn't know what to do with parenthood]), and she started using the potty. We had a few accidents the first couple of days, but now, she'll be sitting there on the couch and turn to either me or mommy and say "I GO POTTY!" and proceed to run to the bathroom practically ripping off her underwear to sit on the toilet.
2 Days accident free so far, and counting. WoOT!!

Exploit of my forgotten tallents
So a few weeks ago my boss asked me to design a brochure that would encompass all 4 properties that we have here in the beautiful coachella valley. I figured, eh, what the heck, i'll give it a shot.
So I developed something a week ago and he submitted it to our corporate big wigs, and they loved it. Today I finally finished the 4th revision and i would have to say, I'm pretty dang proud of it. I may not be a designer, but it seems to come natural, something to do with my family I guess.
Any-who, it's getting final approval this week, then off to the printer, and BAM! we have a new brochure.

Ambrosia
So this weekend we were introduced to a new (to us at least) wonderful place. It's almost magical. No not Disneyland, but Yogurt Island. We went Friday evening with Roxanne (Aunt Rock to Caitlin and Evalyn) and I discovered the wonderful bliss of soft serve frozen yogurt. Much to my dismay they didn't have my favorite flavor, Peach, but all was not a loss. Later that evening they were going to mix up the Peach flavor, so we made a plan to return Saturday.
Saturday afternoon we were looking to get out of the house for a bit, so we went to the mall and walked around, mostly to kill some time and let the Caitlin get anxious for her frozen yogurt. Off to Yogurt Island we went, and there in all it's glory was my ambrosia, "Georgia Peach" yogurt. Caitlin couldn't contain herself, she went nuts wanting every topping on her yogurt, but we settled for chocolate chips, and sprinkles. Michelle had Cookies & Creme with mixed mini chocolate chips, Butterfinger sprinkles, and Caramel topping. When we were completing our purchase the girl behind the counter had mentioned that the peach flavor runs out quickly, so I should come back often to enjoy it before it's gone.
Well it worked, I just returned from another trip to Yogurt Island, with my "Georgia Peach" yogurt. I may have to make a stop off tomorrow on my way home from the BBQ at mom's. We'll see.

On the Bandwagon
Well hello world! I finally decided to jump on the proverbial bandwagon everybody keeps on talking about, and share my life with the world. I know a little conceded and narcissistic of me to think that my life is so important that I have to share it with everybody else, but this is more so when I'm old and feeble, pooping my own pants, I can throw on my specs and remember the good old days.
Get ready world, my life will follow.
